Ready Set Grow Preschool, in Nassau County, Eases Separation Anxiety

Introducing your child to a pre-school environment can cause anxiety and uncertainty for both child and parent. The uncertainty and anxiety stems from separating from each other every day. Here, at Ready Set Grow pre-school in Nassau County, we understand that this can be a challenging experience for you and your child. Not only are we deeply in tuned to your feelings about this process, we know that it takes love, time, and patience for it to be successful. Our staff at Ready Set Grow of New Hyde Park, Long Island, is extremely sensitive to preschool separation anxiety. We help develop plans to ease the stress and allow the child to comfortably transition into their preschool class.

Our staff at Ready Set Grow Pre-school in Nassau County, knows how and will help ease the separating process. The way this can be achieved is to help the child feel safe and loved. This will build the foundation of enjoying time in a school setting, and most importantly, your children can be happy if you are not there with them. There are some children who will not have a problem with separating and will adapt nicely.  Our staff encourages parents to stay in the classroom if their child is having difficulty separating. We will then slowly implement some techniques that have helped us in the past. Techniques such as, “mommy bathroom breaks” or “mommy phone call breaks” are used and this will teach the children that you do come back. We understand as parents you know your children and will help create plans to help children adapt to separation.

The Ready Set Grow Preschool staff in Nassau County, will always be aware of your children’s feelings and we will do everything possible to make separating a success.  Please call us at 516-775-5545 if you have any questions and please stop on by and take a tour of our pre-school.
